Walking the beach with dear friends I took a picture of this pier. Never dreaming that weeks after I would get a call, our friend had a heart attack and died. At the end of the pier you can see what looks like a small opening. It looked like a doorway to Heaven to me so my painting became “From Pier to Eternity”.
